Automated Asset Management Program
WESCAP Group Introduces New Automated Asset Management Program for Smaller Accounts.
Brief Description:
WESCAP Group’s Automated Asset Management Program (AAMP) offers our active investment strategy to investors with investable assets between $150,000 and $500,000. This platform allows individuals that do not meet WESCAP’s Wealth Management Program requirements to receive asset management services. The AAMP uses a specialized trading platform through Charles Schwab, Inc. that automates risk assessment, cash flow management and trading functions for client portfolios.
This platform allows WESCAP Group to manage the asset allocation for various portfolio risk levels and select the investments from a subset of approved no-transaction-fee Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). The AAMP portfolio will continue to reflect WESCAP’s view of the optimal asset allocation, balancing returns and risk for portfolios and selecting the asset allocation deemed appropriate for a client’s goals and risk tolerance. A number of studies show that asset class allocations have the largest influence on risk and returns.
Security selection is also important. Although AAMP’s selection of investments is smaller than that available to full-service WESCAP clients, the large number of ETFs available through this platform are sufficient for us to build portfolios that own what we consider to be attractive ETFs with low costs. We use many of the same ETFs in our Wealth Management Program. As a result, we can continue to choose among many asset classes and strategies, including: U.S. stock strategies (large, mid, small, value, growth, etc.), foreign stocks (large, mid, small, developed, emerging, frontier, currency hedged or unhedged), natural resources and fixed income (U.S. with a wide variety of maturity and credit characteristics, and foreign and emerging markets bonds). We can also select from a variety of specialized strategies (merger arbitrage, currencies, momentum, sector, corporate spin-offs, call writing, etc.), some of which we currently use or may use in the future.
Where this service differs is in client service and financial planning. Through the AAMP, you will have limited interaction with a WESCAP advisor. Investors will primarily interact independently of their investment advisor through the automated website, which allows clients to self-direct deposits and withdrawals and utilize a variety of portfolio reporting tools made available to them.
Financial planning services (taxes,
estate, retirement, special projects) are available if desired at additional
cost.
